looking for tips on peek a look blocks

I saw these in a magazine project and for the life of me I can't make sense of it. Can anyone give me the direction to go. I looked on YouTube....nothing or I'm calling it wrong. I know there are rulers but I'm not in position to run to the local craft store. Help!!! What I can't figure out is how they get the framed edges to scallop, the directions are so poor on that part. Thanks

i found references to Peek-A-Boo" blocks but not Peek a Look. So unless we have exact reference probably won't be able to help with the question.

"The framed scalloped edges".......could it be cathedral windows?

What magazine did you see it in ? Maybe someone has the magazine and knows the exact name

Your right peek a boo.....the ruler in the magazine said peek a look so I wasn't sure which would be familiar

I've seen peek-a-boo blocks that have triangles. The triangles form a square shape over the block and are sewn in on all 4 sides of the window. I have not seen one with scallops.

You have me intrigued, Tartan ... though I'm lost. As a visual thinker ... any chance you could do a sample block to show? Or a paper one? Please and Thanks!!!!!!

I have all kinds of ideas flying in my little pea-brain now, thanks to this!

Tartan your right that's what it is. Wish I could take a pic of what's confusing me. Instead of the edges being a straight frame its a pretty scallop inward on 4 sides. They give the designers email I might just email her. Probably easy n I'm making it hard hahaha

Peek-A-Boo is a three dimensional block Has a base and then four triangles pieces that are set so you can see through to the back.
The four triangles are made from two sizes of triangles and when folded have an edge of one of the fabrics.
They are easy to do and look complicated but are not.
