First, what an adorable little toddler you have. Second, I go with cathyvv "when in doubt, don't"

With the class, you'll either get it finished or you'll get a really good start on it. I am so self-taught that classes sometimes are interesting for me to see what I'm doing differently and learn a new/quicker/easier way to do whatever. Be sure to keep having "mommy time" with friends and other quilters....you'll be a better mom for doing it! (PS. My kids are 27 and 30!)

You wouldn't even be thinking about asking this question unless you're starting to feel overwhelmed. Unless you quilt for a living, the quilting process is supposed to be relaxing and fun. An alternative is to put off one of the other projects to do the lovers knot quilt - and not feel guilty about it! |
Go for the class if you can afford it. It not only gives you some me time, but in most classes you pick up lot of little hints to use in other areas of your quilting. Plus they are FUN

I would take some me time and take the course.

Take the class, you may be able to do the project on your own, but how fun to do it with other people.
|
I would go, but I go to alot of classes just to be with others who like to quilt. None of my friends do or want too. Lovers Knot is what I am going to do next for myself ...just havent decided on fabric (color) yet.

There will be other classes in the future so if this is not the right time, know that you can do it later. Family time is more important and if you are already overwhelmed, this will only help things temporarily. In the end, it is all about time and priorities so it is your call.
