(yours to keep no copy right laws will be broken) you must pick your fabric out 1st before you see the project and you must tell me on what day you both will be done. I am working Thursday and Friday ARE you ready for this? just say yes.. What do you think? We don't know if lots of people got this message. Doesn't matter. Sounds like fun! I wanted to choose from my stash, I found a dark blue with a gold filigree pattern. The gold filigree happened to match a gold fabric in my stash and the filigree was also on an off white that I'm using for background-talk about luck! Also, we received "do ahead" cutting and sewing instructions for this 65" x 80" quilt, so I'm sure we'll finish it in one session. Tell you what, when mine is finished, I'll show you mine....if, when yours is finished, you'll show me yours! Belles |
I am jealous, it does sound like so much fun!!! I'd love to see a photo of your and your friends fabric choices, too.
Too bad you can't lead the rest of us on the same mystery challenge due to the copywrite thing. :( |

Sounds like it will be fun! A gal who works where I frequently shop told me the store owner did something like that with the gals who work in the store...in order to finish her design of a pattern. It was kind of an experiment to see if her instructions were written clearly for people of various sewing skill levels to follow. They had a lot of fun with it and I am sure you will, as well! Be sure to let us know how it goes!!!
|
Have fun!!! Let us see your mystery project!

Very intriguing.(sp?) I've seen mystery quilts in monthly installments in Quilter's Newsletter Mag. but not heard of a mystery project before.
Did you have to buy the fabric at the store where she works? Does she want to display them in the store when you are finished? Was this a challenge for both of you to gain confidence in selecting fabrics on your own? Post pictures; fabric selection and then project when finished. Very interesting indeed. |
For those interested ... here's an online mystery for tomorrow/Sunday that someone posted .....
