I'm going to order some thread from Connecting Threads... I have a spool of Guterman and I may get another spool or two of that... I have to make sure that I do two of each color, since I have to make my bobins to! Thank you!

I love Connecting Threads thread. It is a good quality and is very reasonably priced. Check them out. My Pfaff loves it.

Superior Threads has a great website--they sell all kinds of threads and they have a great video on what kind of thread to use and why. Of course they're selling thread but I was impressed and learned a lot by watching the video.

I recommend Aurafil or Superior Threads' Masterpiece for piecing. These are two great threads. There is now fuzz on these threads to add to the lint build up in the machine, etc. These threads may be a bit on the expensive side but they last a long time and are well worth the cost. The Superior Threads website is an excellent place to learn about which thread to use where. Hope this helps.
Have a great day.

I have 2 of those machines, and I mostly use the Coats&Clark Dual Duty thread in them. Have no problems with it. I do keep them clean underneath the footplates.

I have a C6000i Brothers Sewing machine, and the reviews on the machine said to use good quality thread.

I've not used a sewing machine in almost ten years... (I was in middle school at the time).

Please and thank you!

Gutermann or Sulky. Stock up on them when on sale @ Joann's.

Don't use guterman. Many have tried it and it balls up in the machine or breaks. Gutterman is a very expensive thread and works really well in most machines, but take it from one who has the same machine, use connectingthreads or plain old coats and clarks. Leave the really expensive stuff for people who have super expensive and talented machines like Pfaff. Brother does best with the regular stuff.

I agree Guttermann's is the best quilting thread out there and you can get it at JoAnn's as well as quilt shops.
