could I ask why you used a different measurement in the one corner? Just curious.

Lindsey
The pattern I received at a quilt show had a different measurement in one corner. The top turned out just fine following those instructions. The tilt of the pinwheel may be slightly different if they are all the same (just my guess)

lo, i was trying to organize the twister albums..thanks for the new link.
on the original twister and instructions, the one corner is different. you will have to mark you ruler "top", so you don't mistakenly flip it over. it would make a difference. greencat took this picture. but on rulers that i made..i kept the dimensions the same on all the corners..less confusing.

No need to purchase separate templates for different sizes of these simple blocks. You can make yourself a template in any size you desire by taking the original template and centering it in the middle of a square the size that you desire and extend the lines of the pinwheel.

Black lines are the original template, red lines are for the new size.

I made my own templates too, I agree, why spend money if you don't have to!...

How do you figure out how to sew the squares so that it comes out right and how many colors do you use for this pattern?

Now, if save all those little squares, you could make a matching mini one! Your quilt turned out nice, great job!..
