Magnetic Bowl

For those that use the magnetic bowl for pins......is it alright for it to be close to the sewing machine? It seems like I have read that it will/can interfere with the computer part of the machine. I can't find the thread so am hoping someone else can tell me. Thanks

They are fine next to the sewing machine. In the olden days, the floppy disk drives and the CRT monitors were affected by magnets, but different technology is used now, as well as better shielding. People worry about this all the time, but it simply is not an issue.

The ones I have by my machine do not cause any problems.

I use the magnetic dishes too, but I won't put them right next to or on my machine. Just being over cautious I know.

I have an older Bernina 1530 and I have sat mine in front of it when I am sewing taking the pins out and I haven't had any problem. I should probably be more cautious. I remembering hearing that too !!

I have one of them, but don't use it by my machine. However, I do have one of those small magnetic seam guides, would that interfere with my Pfaff 4.0? Have always wondered about using it on my newer machine.
