Great haul!! I happen to have a hubby who wears XXL tall size shirts. I just wait around for them! He used to wear all Wrangler denim shirts for work. I took all of his old ones and cut out the useable parts to use for the back of my DGS a play quilt. (The front was made of learning cloth book panels cut for blocks.)

Look at this newly posted quilt made from blue shirts--when I saw the pile of blue I thought of this post immediately.

LUCKY GAL are you....AND you can make those really cute APRON'S from men's shirts. I told my DSIL to give me all his old cotton dress shirts. I'm going to a thrift store and see if I can find a couple of shirts to make these.. AND old Hawaiian shirts would do very well too.

I made a rag quilt from shirts I found at a thrift store. I was able to pick up high quality flannel that was preshrunk. We have two stores that have 1/2 off sales every couple of weeks. I love to use Ralph Lauren, Brooks brothers, and Tommy shirts.

That's a great haul! I love it when there are nearly new, heavily starched shirts straight from the dry cleaners at the Goodwill. So happy that, unlike me, who really wears my stuff out, some folks refurbish their closets often.
I took a mans shirt, cut the sleeves to 3/4 length, added binding made from a silk tie, and refashioned a shirt. It was very cool to wear as I had to cover my arms in the summer.

I am working on a memory quilt made from my son in law's dad's shirts for his sister's baby.

WOW what a great haul. I even saw a quilt made from shirts for a four year old child and they left the pocket on the square. When opened up, there was a cute little animal (made with yarn and plastic canvas) for the child to play with.
It was well loved. You can do a lot with men's shirts and ladies dresses. I love them
