About 20 years ago I got a cutting mat on a turn table at Lee Wards (anyone remember Lee Wards?). did not quilt, and wasn't sure what it was used for, but I'm not one to turn down a good deal. Now that I'm quilting, I've looked at the other ones on the market and the one I purchsed on impulse so many years ago is so much heavier & sturdier. I can't imagine using a twister tool without it!

I remember Lee Wards. I loved that place.

I miss Lee Wards.

Great minds think alike. I have been using one for several weeks.

Also, it's a good idea to give it a coat of rubber cement (let it dry thoroughly). This will help to keep your cutting mat from sliding around on it. I don't mean glue down the mat - it's not necessary, and you may want to use the mat now and then without it.

I love the thing. It's a lot bigger than the ready-made rotating mats.
