Making 2 identical quilts

Would it be easier to make them two at a time or just do it one at a time? I've never made two quilts that are the same, but these are my next projects. My fear is that I won't ever get back to the second one.

I know what you mean. I think I would cut all at one time -- make a chart/list of what I need to cut out of which fabrics (for both quilts) and check them off as I go. You could chain-piece the strips of small squares, in pairs, and other sub-assemblies.

You are correct, if you don't do them in unison you'll get bored after doing one and won't want to do another

That's a really pretty quilt. I would probably finish one top before starting on the other. That way I'm less likely to get confused, and I might discover something while making the first one that will help when making the second one. I assume there's a reason for making two identical quilts, so there should be less worry about not following through.

I know what you mean about not finishing the second one.

I've done this twice. Both times I cut out all of the parts and worked on them together.

Unison is the way! I made 2 alike once and never want to do that again! The first was fun and the second was Boring!! If I ever do it again I will do them in unison!

Together at the same time. Making one would be a joy, making the second one would be boring. By doing them at the same time you can "chain" sew and get it done equally.

For your situation, I would cut them both at the same time, so i only had to do the "thinking" once. Then I would sew them one at a time so see the results faster. But that is just me. There is no right or wrong here. BTW, I love your pattern, fabrics, and colors.
