It says $60 + shipping unless she has to cut twice (really big quilt?).quote=Midwestmary]

I'm attaching the link if anyone wants to use Kate Flynn's services.

I love this and need to send her more.

Enjoy

I'm curious about cost - I didn't see nay prices listed on the website. What would she charge for a twin size quilt?[/quote]

I have five of those bags in various stages at the moment. just make sure you are careful with the pieces. don't want to overlook one of them and be short.

I do this when I go on retreats. This way I get to the fun part and start sewing right away.

Have done this with clothing as well as projects for years. Needless to say there are containers that have been around for years (ufo.

Sounds like a great idea. Cutting to me is the hardest part and most time consuming in trying to be accurate also requires a lot of patience.

I do this all the time. Saves a lot of headaches and time when constructing the quilt. I usually have a medium sized tote box full. That's a lot, but just imagine, the space saving.

Then put who the quilt is for on front of the zip lock. This way I have all my cutting out of the way, and then all I have to do is take each kit and sew the pieces together.

Has anyone done this before.

You are so clever!!!! Great idea :-D

I have lots of quilts cut and ready to go. I usually take a couple of them to our retreat so I don't have to have a lot of cutting space.

Love the idea. When I used to sew clothing for my daughter I would lose interest in the project by time I got the cutting finished. She outgrew some dresses before I got them sewed together because of this lack of interest after cutting. Good idea you have come up with. Take care.

This is a very good idea for several reasons. If you have any kind of trouble with your hands (I have tendonitis and tenovensitis) it affects what I'm able to do daily. If I have good days, I cut. Because I could go weeks before my hands don't hurt so I can cut again. It's easier to sew than to use the pressure to cut fabric. Whatever makes it easier for you is the right answer.
