My husband is complaining that I've made quilts for everyone except him. I'm looking for something that isn't too girly and doesn't have triangles (I'm awful at matching the points). Any ideas?
Thanks. |
I made my DH one and used dark green, browns tans rusts. I like scrappy quilts. It was a string quilt.

Guys do love flannel and I usually stick to something like Yellow Brick Road or the take 5 patterns. I like big chunky pieces and dark colors in sports or outdoor themes.

I like Boxed Squares. Here's a link to many that have been made by members of this board.

Just don't use floral fabs, pastels. Flying geese are great worked up. Does he want a lap quilt. Choose five fab and make a turning 20 quilt. Works up quickly. All squares and rectangles.

I like the Depression Block and have made several. It can be masculine or feminine. This one I made for a man at work.

I made a log cabin quilt for a male relative using civil war reproduction fabric.
Dark flannel is good. Especially mixed with jeans. Also, if he has a collection of t-shirts maybe a t-shirt quilt. |
