I'm curious if anybody else is doing the March Fab Shop Hop. I've gone through all of the shops from S through Y--35 shops. I've found almost all of the bunnies, but I haven't uncovered a single quilt block. Pretty discouraging to say the least. I'm wondering if anybody has found any of the blocks. I'm starting to wonder if there's some malfunction. Any input would be appreciated.

Sounds odd. Are you expecting to see them in the shops? They appear when you register to win. You can check in the member area under visited shops to see if any of them appear.

Yes, I just checked. Nada. Not a single block found. I just found two more bunnies, but still no blocks! Very discouraging. I'm going to give up for a while, but I would have expected to find at least ONE by now for all my effort! I'll keep looking. I just wonder if anybody has found any. If nobody is finding any, maybe it would be worth an email. Things have gone wrong before.

I haven't started this one yet. Certainly sounds unusual.

The blocks are basic, so I'm not wanting to do this quilt. Less interest for me this month, for sure.

Okay . . . I think there's a problem. I'm going to email the shop hop people and ask them what's up.

I'm doing it and i've found 2 blocks, i never win anything though, but i do get a quilt pattern out of it i guess and find new sites to look at.

Which letter did you start with?

I don't use their list. I click on the 'shops not visited' link and hop from there.

I started at "M" and only did the first two shops. Found 1 block

So far I have found 39 Bunnies and 8 blocks. They're there, you just haven't hit the right shops yet. I also just start at the top of the list. :-D

Maybe I need to move to the top. I've found all the bunnies from "s" to "y" and still not a single block! Almost 40 bunnies--no blocks.

I always start at the top & work my way down. I have so far found 4. I got to #37 & had to leave. I never start like they say. Sure is pretty, hope to make. Last hop I went thru 75 shops & never found a single one. I finally finished with 15 blocks though.

I've done 143 shops and have 19 of the blocks. That's all that are available until later in the month I think.

Are you talking about last months hop? I have all the different patterns just not the recipes. I did all 157.

This is the March hop. Under the member page it shows the blocks that are available.

I found a block in the W or X section as my last name starts with a W. It looks like a nice set of blocks too. I was thinking blues and yellows maybe. I looked it up Guidelines4Quilting was the place for a star.

I found 53 bunnies before I found the first block. Now I've found 57 bunnies. One block to show for all that. A little ridiculous, IMHO. I feel like I deserve a run on the blocks now.

I have 7 so far & will finish the rest today I hope. There is only 12 patterns that I can see & at end of month they will give out how to put it all together.

I think something is wrong this month. It downloaded duplicates which it has never done before.

The blocks apparently move around too. I've had varied luck in past hops - sometimes I'll find a block every fifth bunny and sometimes I'll got 20,30,40 bunnies before finding a block.

When you download make a PDF file in your documents & title it March shopshop then it should open back up to it & if you have a duplicate it will tell you.

They all went into the same subdir and added different numbers frior to the extension. In days past, it would have been my job to find out why. Now all I have to do it delete and life is good.

I've found 97 bunnies so far but only 2 blocks, one yesterday & one today. If this is supposed to encourage business, it's not working:-) I think it's too time consuming for patterns that are so basic.

Definitely time consuming and 97 seems a bit much to only have 2 blocks so far. But as for the nature of the patterns - basic is very appealing to us new quilters. I didn't bother to do a couple over the past months because I knew I'd never use the blocks. These, I might use.

The blocks move around too so you could go to all of the shops and find all the bunnies but not all of the blocks. So you'd have to go back to some stores again. It is frustrating.

There are alot of new quilters on this board. Basic is good. You have to start somewhere. I have seen some basic block quilts that I never would have thought could turn out so beautiful. :thumbup:

I have no problem with basic. Sometimes simplicity is exactly what we need to destress. But the purpose of the hop is to encourage people to visit the shops. This month seems like it's more of a discouragement. It definitely dampens the incentive. JMHO.

This is about the fifth shop hop I've participated in. I've never had so little success in finding the blocks. I'll persevere, but I won't be happy about it. I like the looks of the quilt, however. I could probably come up with it on my own, but what the heck?

I've visited 50 shops and found one block. I started with L.

I found all the blocks. Some stores are not available but I have found all the other bunnies.

You don't look for blocks, you look for the "you found it " bunny. Once you have found it, click onto it and it will take you to another page to register that Quilt Shop. If that shop has one of the blocks it will let you know on that page or you can go to "visited shops" and you will be able to see what shops had the block. Clear as mud?

I downloaded the instructions for each block as I found it in case they disappeared!

These online shop hops make me crazy. It seems like lot of frustrating, time consuming work to get the pattern.. I think I'd be more likely to actually spend some time in the shops if I didn't have to spend so much time trying to find the silly MOVING blocks! Not enough time tonight.. Maybe I'll try again later.. Maybe not..
