Wow, I just got a hold of customer service at the magazine and talked to a lovely young lady who is refunding the rest of my subscription money. She was polite, funny and very informative, and best of all they were there on a Sunday!! So anyone who hates what happened and still has a subscription don't hestitate to call and get your complaint in and money back!!

Thanks. I'll check it out now.

He didn't show up at all in my facebook search so I used bing. Anyway, that's the link.

I never read the mag but I did enjoy one episode of the show on a free weekend. :0)

I did the same. I enjoyed it at first, bc it was different, but I don't care about other people's private lifes. I never saw a quilt in the mag that I wanted to make. What happened to him, I forgot.

The "fluff" is the entire reason I subscribed. There are soooo many magazines out there with patterns that I'll never have time to make in my lifetime, I truly do not need another one. I just wanted something fun and light to read and QH brought that. But I won't be renewing either.

exactly, I wanted something different, funny, witty and readable. When it was Mark's I would sit down right when I got it and read it cover to cover, laugh and feel like I had gotten something for my money. All the ones with so many patterns, well I can't make them all and sometimes I don't like any of them, and not many interestin articles about quilting. Too many ads.

I decided I wouldn't renew my sub. after the first copy came. I thought there was too much non-quilting "stuff". I haven't been impressed with any one of them.

I was telling my quilt group yesterday about Mark not being part of the magazine anymore and a lot of the gals said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with their last issue but without Mark it just isn't the same. None of them will be renewing their subscription.

I called and got a refund, it was a surprise when I checked my bank balace and found they had sent it directly there, no problem at all getting my money back. So not the same without Mark for sure. I encourage everyone who is disatisfied to call for a refund and/or register a complaint, only way they will hear us!

I went to the link posted and found a link to the Pickle Posse. Mark has posted that he is going to be in a magazine format again and it will be announced this week.

I liked the magazine before but do agree that some of the personal comments got annoying at times. (The ones that bugged me where weight related. There was one comment in the middle of a review about someone's book and I felt sorry for her that the attention was shifted away from her book). That said, I did enjoy all of the interesting articles to read that were different from the same old quilt mag.
Will be watching for more news,

I checked the Pickle Road site yesterday and Mark announced his partnership with Quilt Out Loud was contracted. He also said he was not resuming any Quilter's home input . He talked about some ribbon product and was at a big California Craft show representing the company. He assured the posse that he was continuing a busy teaching schedule and was working on other enterprises.
