Maybe it is like I make my grandkids: one side is the fabric cotton and the other is flannel. I call it summer
cool cotton and flip flannel winter for more warmer.

Then again I can't see it but 1/2 top fannel and 1/2 cotton
and same on bottom. Like sleep number bed each has their
side separae from other.
Only a Idea.

My husband likes flannel sheets and I don't. I've threatened to get a new set of regular and one of flannel and cut them in half and sew one from each back together to make two sets of 1/2 flannel and 1/2 regular. I also throw a woven throw over his side of the bed every night in the winter to keep the poor guy warmer. Never thought of making a quilt that is thicker on his side.

I'd maybe add a layer of flannel to one side inside the quilt sandwich?

I have decided that it is not the warmth of the extra blackets I like, it is the weight. I'm thinking of making a quilt with my side weighted with those small plastic pellets, used for stuffing projects.

no,no,no,no,no...............
I would THINK it has cotton on one side of the whole quilt, and flannel on the other and it is big enough for both to tug it their way or their way! (or small enough that the couple would have to be VERY friendly sharing it!)

What visuals................yes, I REMEMBER it well.....
Sigh...........

We have a king that has two x-tra long twin mattresses, I bought a heated mattress pad for my side. I love it.

When I first read this, I thought ok if shes in the mood she places the quilt with the warm side up (being warm coloring) and if not on the light side (cooler coloring). Then when DH comes in the room he knows where he stands for the evening. Now come on, I know I am not the only one that thought this, I just spelled it out.

DH and I just flip the covers behind us if too warm or if chilly, pull over us. We quit tucking in the top sheet and blankies at the foot and sides years ago and it makes it much easier to do this when necessary. We don't tug and pull on the covers anymore.
