I think Martha Stewart is certainly talented but I don't like anything I've bought with her name on except for wall paint- that was nice. I didn't like her sheets and a friend of mine had a comforter that didn't hold up.
What always gets me interested in her lines are the colors- but I don't buy her stuff anymore. I actually don't usually like designer labels- I always get the feeling I'm paying more b/c of it. |
Are you talking about her paper cutter?? If so I heard its great. She has some nice quilting tools.

I have not seen that brand at our WalMart. I wonder if it is a regional item?

i seen her items at Michaels.

Gosh, I didnt know she had quilt stufftoo! I bought her glitter at Christmas, a big set with my gift card from Parents. I really was awesome stuff, lol!
|
I had no idea she was into quilting too. Is it just something she put her name on? I like what I have and most likely won't change.

I have the fiskar all in one cutter/ruler. I got mine at WalMart a couple years back.

Chele, Have you tried the ergonomic cutter? My cousin just had surgery on her thumb and has some crippling arthritis in both hands. I got one for her. She says she is able to use it without pain. She is left handed so I found one that is for lefties but she can also cut both hands so probably could have used the more available right handed one too.

I do happen to have the MS cutter and ruler, only because I found it at Tuesday Morning Shops so cheap I couldn't NOT get it. I do like the ruler very much, as it is coated on the bottom and doesn't slip on the material as you cut. I also like the idea of the cutter riding the rail, but the blade didn't stay sharp very long for me. Because my cutting arm is weak and my accuracy is questionable at times, riding the rail seems a real help to me at keeping my cut straight. Also, the blade is only exposed when the cutter is pressed down onto the rail, and this is a good safety feature. I just wish the cutter blade was of better quality. I am going to try putting a better blade in it when I can get some.
The only negative for the ruler is that because of the backing that keeps it from slipping, it's a little harder to see some of the cutting board markings thru. |
Wildyard, if yours is like mine, which sounds like it is, just a different brand. Mine is 6 x 24. I so totally agree about the blades. They don't last long at all. Recently, I got blades at Joann's for Buy 1 get 1 free. Bought a Pkg of 5 for $30 (ugh) but ended up with 10 blades. I don't remember them always being so expensive...
