Does anybody know how much the store cost of this magazine is? I can order it online (I'm looking for May/June 2011), but I want to make sure it's a better deal. Unfortunately the closest store to carry it is 20 miles away, so I have to consider gas costs too.

used to buy quilt mags in store all the time and also had several subscriptions. NO LONGER! I discovered the many free patterns you can get online. Now I save my money for fabric.

$5.99--Sometimes JoAnn's has 10% off. I keep thinking that I will stop buying magazines, but somehow they just jump into my cart.

All of their patterns are there, and when I looked yesterday for a specific pattern they even had the date of the issue. |
$5.99 is the same price on their website, but then I pay shipping too. I'm looking for the helpful hints, in this issue, for cutting/using mens ties.
|
The magazine costs $5.99.

Our library carries McCalls, maybe you could look at it at yours?

Next time you're at WalMart or another store that has magazines, look inside and pull out one of the subscription cards. If you really want to subscribe, this is usually the best deal they have because they're trying to get new subscribers. I've always taken McCalls. I like their insturctions and their quilts. Guess I'm too old to go on line for everything. Like to sit in my rocker and read a magazine.
|
God bless you Gunny and thanks for your service to our country....................luv you all.........

I just renewed my subscription. It was $39 for 12 issues which included postage and handling. That works out to be $3.25 per issue.

I used to subscribe to all kinds of magazine for quilting..I no longer do either. There is so many free things on the internet that there is no need. If there is something in a magazine that I really can't live without and need to make it..then I buy. I have tons of quilting books..and I have stopped buying them also. My to do list is so long that I will never finish it..LOL.

Gunny: People are so ready to criticise anything that is unusual. They should have to try it before criticising. Thank you for all your service to the Nation. My granddaughter is in the Air Force and her husband is in the Army. God Bless you.

Some guys have no clue what makes a man a man. Believe me, I'm divorced, I know! BUT, there are no bigger heros...you selflessly protected and served and a simple thanks just isn't adequate.
