I think the Ricky Tims demo is great, but I wish I could find those instructions printed out. I'll never remember how to do it once the video is over!

I prefer the No Waste Flying geese method. http://www.patchpieces.com/sharingpatch.html
It's on other websites & blogs also. I have also put together 2 HST's to make flying geese which only wastes the seam allowance but I had a giant pile of HST's from a swap to use up. |
I like the paper-pieced method as they come out perfect.

I have tried all of the rulers and other methods, but always go back to the rectangle and a square on each end. I find there is less trimming, they're all just nicer.

I think it is so wonderful that there are so many methods and you can choose what works for you. I think I have the Eleanor Burns ruler somewhere, but I have never used it.
