I have one but don't use it. I wasn't impressed with the way it worked. It didn't seem to work as good as my regular iron for pressing open seams.

I have one and I love it. I would suggest getting the rest/holder that you can get for it. That little clover plastic thingy is useless, not strong enough and iron falls off and burns it and table. It gets really hot and works well for pressing as you go and don't want to go over to the big iron. I am in a wheelchair and when I go to classes it is what I use since it is easier than trying to reach the big ironing board. I love mine.

Look to make sure that you can use the coupon on the iron. Some things you cannot use coupons. I bought a steamer and could not use the coupon I had. Good luck!

I got one several years ago and hardly ever use it.

I had the mini-iron for years. I used it but never really liked the job it did. Last fall I bought a Dritz mini-iron and it works so much better! The sole plate is twice the size of the Clover. It's ergonomic and has a rubber pad directly above the sole plate that is much better than the Clover for keeping the pressure off my wrist. It just 'feels' better using it. With the Clover, you use your a lot of your wrist to place pressure on a seam, but with this all it takes is one finger. I can sew all day and my wrist doesn't ache at the end of the day.
The best part? It has a stand built right in! The Clover stand is A HUGE PAIN. I'm soooo glad I bought the Dritz mini-iron, it's MUCH better. It has 4 heat settings and an auto-off that doesn't turn off for about half an hour. |
I have the exact same mini iron with attachments. Don't use it a lot but when I need it, I need it. I use a pint jar for a stand - that way you never reach for the wrong end.

I found it good for very small pieces but for larger squares I prefer the size of a travel iron. I have a Rowenta but am looking to replace it in light of the discussion on them catching fire while you are pressing with them. The one thing I like about it is the front does come to a smaller point.
I think they have lemons just like anything else! I'll keep mine for as long as it works and performs well for me:) |
I use the mini iron all the time for applique! Works great and stays really hot. Forgot about my Joann's scratch off...lol.

I only use it for paper piecing which works great.

I got a 60% off too, the first time ever. I bought 10 yards of fabric.
