Hi Kate,

I bought one about four years ago, thought it would be great to keep by my machine and press seams as I was piecing. I used it for a week and never used it again. I guess it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Maybe some others here have tried it and liked it.

I don't have this version but I think I have the original one that didn't come with all the different heads. I use mine when I am doing applique to fuse the pieces to the background fabric - sometimes!! It does have a knob to adjust the heat. I don't like it for pressing open seams as it has no weight to it. I find myself pressing really hard with it. I just use my regular iron. I've had mine for about 5 years so I don't remember what I paid for it. I do remember I got it at Michael's with a coupon.

It was probably the scratch off. As usual, I got 40%

I have both the original and the new one although I've lost all the attachments... They work fine for me and don't take up space on my little ironing table I keep beside my sewing machine.

My scratch off was 60% as well; I got me a new cutting mat today!

And I have never tried the mini iron...may need to look into them though.

I let my mom use the 40% today since I won't be back before Saturday.

I found it good for very small pieces but for larger squares I prefer the size of a travel iron. I have a Rowenta but am looking to replace it in light of the discussion on them catching fire while you are pressing with them. The one thing I like about it is the front does come to a smaller point.
