I recently found "Missouri Star Quilt Co" website. I have finally found this site that talks thru the different quilt tutorials thru YouTube. I can view it over and over again if I get stuck on a patern. I was surfing thru the "Quilter's Message Board" and the site was there as a suggestion from a member. I can say it is so very helpful and I am going to try some different patterns now. Thanks so much MISSOURI STAR QUILT CO for your help and to the member who posted it online.

Did you see the newest video? The 'serendipity' quilt - 2 for the price of 1?

I'm really liking that one. Thanks to Missouri Star Quilt Co. I have learned so many methods that make quilting understandable and easy for me!

Grace MooreLinker 10-03-2011 08:09 AM

I watched one of theirs on the jelly roll quilts great instructions.

Chicca 10-03-2011 08:11 AM

I really enjoy watching their videos; well actually almost any quilting video! LOL. So do not forget to do a search for videos on quilting and you will be amazed at the number to view; each one wonderful help.

crafty_linda_b 10-03-2011 08:20 AM

They do have some really easy to understand videos...I love to watch them...I laugh everytime the duck quacks on them *L* Maybe we should all send them an email of thanks so they know we appreciate that they take the time to make these videos and put them up for us to enjoy!! I think I will go and do that right now while I am thinking about it.
Suzanne Mc Neill has a lot of neat videos on there too. I especially liked the 10 min block one. She has several variations of it on there.

YouTube is nice because there are recommendations for your interests based on what you watch.

I have to admit - some people do a better job of it then others!

Yellow Bird 10-03-2011 08:22 AM

Be sure and give them a THUMBS UP when you like their video!

Also, on Facebook "LIKE"!

I liked the one on how to make pinwheels from 5" charm squares.

NanaCsews2 10-03-2011 09:44 AM

For those that don't know, once you are on the tutorial you want to keep going back to, if you right click on the web address when you are on the site, click 'copy', then go to your desktop, right click, select 'new', select 'shortcut', and then paste in that address you can save that for fast future reference? No need to sign in to the internet each time, that link takes you right on.

Grace MooreLinker 10-03-2011 10:28 AM

I add them to my favorite list, my screen isn't big enough to keep all the short cuts on it.

I agree!!

CarrieC 10-03-2011 11:19 AM

I've visited that site so much that I got a cheap laptop (the kind that doesn't have a big hard drive - just something to connect to the internet) to use in my studio. I got tired of trying to listen to a video with earphones on downstairs.

I love their videos and explanations.

emerald46 10-03-2011 11:27 AM

Almost as addicted to Missouri Quilt as I am to this board...lol.

I set up a new file folder on my desk top and labeled it Quilting. Then I opened that file folder and made a folder just for MO Star Quilt, then I save my shortcuts in that folder. Doesn't clutter up my desktop and they are all together for easy access.

Morag 10-03-2011 02:55 PM

I love the QSQC ...I watch the videos over and over as well as buy the fabric and chram packs etc. They charge a flat $5.00 shipping charge and have the "Daily Deal" on fabrics!
They are so great when you call them with questions.....
I'm pretty hooked as you can tell:)

Morag 10-03-2011 02:56 PM

oops!!!! I meant the MSQC....

Fabricnut 10-03-2011 04:37 PM

Yes the videos are great and easy to follow. But the shop is also great and fortunately I don't live too far from them. I just made a baby quilt with one of their "daily deals" charm packs.

Laura F 10-03-2011 08:08 PM

I love this site. Not only do I check out the tutes, I also check out the Daily Deals. They have quick shipping and great fabric. Great store and site. The ladies are wonderful also. I wished I lived within driving distance.

Sienna's GiGi 10-03-2011 11:54 PM

I like their vidoes too.

sbk1962 10-04-2011 02:45 AM

I have a long weekend coming up and thinking about going there since I don't live that far away.

jitkaau 10-04-2011 03:04 AM

The Three Dudes Quilt is a good one on that site.

Happy Tails 10-04-2011 03:13 AM

I have to really jump in on the "praise wagon" for MSQC. I probably spend more time with their videos than I do here (no wonder I have no time to quilt) I also paid for their 2 on line Courses. They even offer free shipping over 150.00 to Canada. I would have to say, next to Eleanor Burns, I would love to meet Jenny. Awesome, I can't say enough good things about them. The only bad thing I can say is I live wayyyyyyy to far to visit their store :( Wendy

mummadee 10-04-2011 03:13 AM

Just love them for their simplicity and clear directions. I actually made the d9p from their tute. Haven't posted picture, but will when I figure out how.

midgie1 10-04-2011 03:22 AM

Hello from another nova scotian. how long have you been quilting?I have been interested for a long time but only seriously, this past few years. It is an addiction but wouldn`t have it any other way. Midge

A1penny 10-04-2011 03:26 AM

Yes, I really like Missouri Star Quilt Co's videos. They are usually very clear, and very well done. Makes me want to go visit them!

butter 10-04-2011 03:35 AM

I too recently found this web site and enjoy the tuts. I need to review making a pillowcase and I was actually going there after I checked my emails today. See you over there!

Happy Tails 10-04-2011 03:50 AM

Hi :) Where in NS are you? I have been quilting for several years but I'm a "struggling quilter" Nothing comes easy for me, LOL I still don't know why I continue but I seem to be a bugger for punishment. I learn a wealth of information from the people here so it helps a lot Wendy

They also have great deals of the day!!! If u subscribe every morning a new deal of the day will be sent to u via email. Some of them sell out very early though so if it's something u want u better grab it

Confederate Rose 10-04-2011 03:53 AM

Don't you just love Jenny?!?!?!

stitchinwitch 10-04-2011 04:04 AM

ALWAYS remember to check the "Deal of the Day" where an item is featured for a HUGE discount and the shipping is $5. Sometimes the price is 0, so the item costs only $5 for the shipping.
When I took my "runaway" trip a few months back, I stopped at their shop and it was closed. They were in there and unlocked the door so I could explore what I had been seeing online for months. Very nice, accomodating and a joy to visit!

ej180 10-04-2011 04:14 AM

I meet both of them in Des Moines this weekend at the AQS show. They are as lovely in person as they are watching on UTube.

purrfectquilts 10-04-2011 04:47 AM

I met Jenny at a quilt show in Nashville one year and was really impressed with the booth layout and the kits they had put together. I bought the Star Spin pattern.

chatonne40 10-04-2011 04:50 AM

I love Missouri quilt tutorials!

If you are interested in keeping those videos so you can watch them over and over here is the trick:

Example the address of you tube video is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DFo-...ayer_embedded#!

just add keep before youtube.com

http://www.keepyoutube.com/watch?v=7...ayer_embedded#!

You will have a warning security pop-up just accept.

Select one of the download options and save to your computer.
Et voila! :-)

Note, the FLV options you will have to download the FLV player Just google it!

Most commun file that will work in most computers is Mp4

AND Mp3 will be use mostly for music videos it will download only the music, or the audio part of the videos.

Have fun!
