Many years ago, I signed up for Keepsake Quilting Fat Quarter Club. Of all the fabrics I wish I'd never bought they top the list. And I paid way more for them than typical price of the day.

These things are costly and probably not a good value. And they auto-renew? Ouch. Ask a friend t
or family member to pick out $50 worth of merchandise even month for you. You'll likely do better.

I just ordered a box a couple of weeks ago. haven't gotten it yet. I have also been trying to post a picture of where my sewing trailer is and can't seem to get the pic to load. will have to work on it some.

I started my stash by joining a fat quarter monthly shop like this. I used to get very excited when they arrived. I never had a bad slection. I stopped for personnel reason nothing to do with shop.

I just signed up yesterday for the Fat Quarter Shop's Sampler Box.....It is $0.99 to join (one-time payment), then $24.99 + shipping per month. I think it said there are no returns allowed, but I could cancel at any time. The boxes I've seen online at their shop are well worth the money.

I signed up for the Quilty Box for six months. There was never enough items that I would use to make it worthwhile. If I only counted the items that I liked, the cost of those items would be much higher than if I bought them retail.

There was always a project to make with the contents, but I already have too many projects on my 'to do' list to want to add their project with my limited time available.

I like to pick and choose, plus I have more fabric than I will use in my lifetime, so it wouldn't be for me. Having said that, it is a lot of fun getting packages in the mail.

There is a lot of fabric I can pick, that I know I will like, for $50.

I agree. At the cost of those I've seen plus s&h, I could buy exactly what I want, when I want it. Put that same $$ in an envelope each month, then when you get the urge - surprise yourself. Perhaps if one lives waaaay out and no stores for miles,or disabled and not able to get around that easily, this might be a temptation. But actually there are so many Estores now it make shopping easy for everyone....and when that package comes, you know it's worth the $$ you paid. JMHO

I think I would enjoy getting monthly surprise box. I don't sign up because I have too machine my stash. One of the LQS has one that I would enjoy. They have a lot of unique fabrics. The shop is Silk Road in Cincinnati, OH. Love their stuff.

I too thought about joining the monthly Quilty Box. I just couldn't justify the cost verses the items you would receive.
I like picking my own fabric and tools.
