LynnieK - I have Windows XP, too, it works for me. Be sure you hold the Alt key down while you're typing the number in, and use the numbers on the keypad to the right of the keyboard (and be sure Num Lock is ON). Ah, and someone told me to use the Alt button to the right of the space bar, not the one to the left of it. Go figure. Oh, well... whatever works. ;)

Options for symbols, special characters, etc., come with your operating system I believe (mine is Windows 7) or with your installed document program. MS Works Processor came with mine (unfortunately, not MS Word). I did download the free program Open Office also. If you are considering downloading it, beware---it's a large program if you have an old 'puter! |
