Love your mug rugs!

OK I love them all, but that Queen of QVC one just made me giggle!

I absolutely love the mug rugs, but have not been able to find a pattern. Is everyone designing as they go or are there patterns for these? I'm afraid I'm very challenged when it comes to designing.
