yep.... I can relate to many of those too!!!!

I could add one more. Take your quilt top to your quilting club to show and the first one that looks at it sees a boo boo.

I relate!

Should have it printed up and put on the wall!!

Cut a whole bunch of blocks out to be ahead and easy to take to a retreat weekend - and - then decide you really don't like the design. Just did that. lol.

[quote=bebe]1. No matter how much of a particular fabric you have for the quilt you want to make, you will always be 1/2 yd short. quote]
This theory works with drapes as well. I needed 21 panels for our sunroom. Off to Hancocks and back home with 25 yds of fabric. It was wide so I was able to split it in 1/2 to double my yardage. It was my first attempt and success with sewing by exact measurements. (I am fighting my ability to be a hit or miss!). My theme was solid panel, floral panel, solid panel. I remember thinking, as I cut the last solid panels "Oh, I am so glad I didn't need anymore or I would not have had enough material". We have looked everywhere there is to look and I am short 2 solid panels. Two of my windows have solid/floral and the other two have solid/floral/solid. No one has noticed! All is well that ends well. One of the 3 doors. If it was easy, would it be as much fun?
