I know this message is probably a day late and a dollar short but.....for future reference......
I received several boxes of fabric one time that had a really bad musty smell. I had it in my garage which made my garage smell bad. I placed a cup of white vinegar on top of a cabinet and it drew out all of the musty smell without washing it or airing it out. Worth a try (next time)

for airing stuff out, like a bathroom smell, i just burn a candle. plain old regular candle. not the expensive kind. a guest taught me that by leaving a candle burning 'behind' him.

For that kind of smell, just lighting a match takes care of the bathroom, ha.

I think I would wash it. Penny
