I went to an estate sale today and look what I found for a total of $5.00. There are 49 of the 9 patch blocks and about half of them are hand pieced. The larger pieces are also hand pieced. I am one lucky lady today!

I am so excited! But it breaks my heart to know that someone spent all that time piecing these blocks and no one cared enough to want to keep them. :( :(

that is about what we would have sold them for through the estate sale company I work for..

NOW go soak those in a bucket of oxyclean and then spin dry in a salad spinner....you just never know where/how they were stored and what critters and have been on them!

The lady that does the estate sales always calls me to come to the "pre-sale" as soon as they get everything set up. I've gotten a lot of neat things at really good prices by going to these when she calls. I have purchased several nice antique quilts and even a sewing machine and cabinet. Next to quilting, I LOVE to go to estate sales!
