I had no idea the plastic bobbin would compress . In the past I've always used metal bobbins.... but this is certainly what it acts like...

As for skipping a tensioner... been there and tried that.. BOY was that a mess!!!!!! thread when everywhere!!!!!! LOL live and learn...
