This is a photo of the cutting table my dh made for me. It can be folded up and it has a pull out shelf underneath.

I'd hang on to him if I were you, he sounds very handy.

The side legs are put on with hinges. Just take the sliding drawer out and take the cross X bracing off and fold in.
