I just finished two quilts and I used these in several different colors to mark both of them. The blocks (and the marks) were pressed several times before the quilts were finished.

Everything came out in the wash the first time.

These markers and Elmer's washable school glue are two of my favorite quilting notions.

Does anyone know if the Crayola markers are like the Frixion pens in that the markings can come back in the cold after being ironed off? That's the only downside to the Frixion pens that I know of but I would switch to Crayola if they truly wash out and don't ever come back.

Having had quilts I've marked with Crayola Ultra Clean markers (in red, on a white background) & survived through multiple sub-zero days last winter (unlike what happened to some of my guild members with their Frixion pen marks), I feel confident that they won't come back. On top of that, they use these markers in school all the time & I've never heard a parent complain that the stain came back after they removed it.
