If you ever sewed with one you would see what all the hoopla is about. They have fabulous straight and even stitches, are good for piecing and on top of all this they are so darn cute.

I went to Weatherford, OK today and went in the antique shop on main street. I was going to look at the treadle machine that they had when the lady told me that the machine inside the cabinet was not very old. she went into the back of the store and came out with a familiar black box. the first thing I said was "OH. a featherweight. I have one of those." She sat it on the cabinet and opened it. I do not know how much she wants for it but it is beautiful. It is in wonderful shape.

I saw one at an antique store for $350, looks like just this machine. I was glad I already have one. Too much.

Please post how much she wants. One day I will have one come hook or crook and I live in Missouri - we are neighbors.

You can have the light repaired and pick up an owner's manual.
