I have one of those." She sat it on the cabinet and opened it. I do not know how much she wants for it but it is beautiful. It is in wonderful shape.

You better go grab it. I don't live that far from Weatherford. LOL

Congratulations! Welcome to the FW club. You will love her. Buy 15 watt bulbs.

I found a gorgeous one--like new, complete for $395 at an antique mall. They let me plug her in and play with her but I left her behind. I get my dogs from the pound and I know there's a little needy featherweight out there who is waiting for me to save 'er.

Congratulations on your adoptee.

I don't really use the light on my f/w as it gets really hot. I just use my other lights if I need additional lighting. Love my little white f/w and it does sew so nicely.

EXCELLENT stitch quality and the only one of my 3 machines I use for piecing.

However, it was my D-late-M's bought in 1947 - still have the orig. receipt and owners manual and it was taken care of and used occasionally (curtains, some clothing, seam repair, etc.)
Guess the manual could be scanned and copied... let me know.
Love it!

Go to your Singer website and they will have everything from manuals to replacement lights for your machine. Congrats. I love my featherweight.

I have several FW now and I love the little guys(or girls)
It's hard to explain when you plug it in and place the fabric and start the stitching, it's almost theraputic. I have a Janome for most sewing but every so often I drag out one of the little guys.
