Dottie Bug, I'm happy for you in getting your first Featherweight machine. You will love using it. What year is it? I have one from 1939 and am waiting to get one from 1945, my birth year.

I do love the FW acquisitions and accompanying stories. I myself have five and have given away two or three. My sisters and I are fixing one up that I was lucky enough to find on CL for $275. The case was a little "icky" but the machine is PERFECT (a 1934 that is clean and needed nothing to get it ready for sewing) LUV IT.....

Anyone needing or wanting a rolling tote for their FW? I got one for my 1939 Lilly this summer, and today got one for my soon-to be-mine 1945 Ethel Jane. Michaels has tolling yarn totes that are just the right size for the FW machines, and also have some storage for other things in their many pockets. They are $59.99, I think, but then with either a Michaels or Joann 40% coupon ..... |
Hey, that's great to know---thanks a million. My sister is a shopper, and my guess is that she'll have one of those a week after we take her the machine.....
