It was pouring down rain, the parking lot was packed - but I decided to go ahead and go in..
I found this roll of tiny red polka dot fabric on a white background. It feels like a cotton/poly blend and it is 13" wide and weighs just under 1.5 pounds (including the cardboard core) ... for a grand total of $1.50 I am very thrilled :D |
Awesome find!!

I thought so :D
it may the day much brighter

SCORE!
hey, that is a good find.
i was looking in my basement and found a box with cable wires in it but underneath that was several yds of dark green and some burgundy fabric i'd ordered from Quilt in a Day yrs ago!! still cant' find the box with the kit i got from Hinterberg quilting frames. I want to find it so i can sell it!! I guess i'll keep digging. |
Great score. I never find anything that awesome in our Goodwill.
What a GREAT find :D:D:D
the smallest things - can make the biggest difference, I love "treasure hunting" - :D
It will be great to use for Valentine's Day bags for my duaghter's class.. Just run a seam up each side and tie a ribbon on them, let her make a little note for each one and put a pencil inside I can also use it as wrapping paper instead of using white tissue :) so many uses... I've never seen any that is 13" wide.. it makes me wonder what it was originally made for |
What a great find!
Great treasure. Certainly worth going in for!
Great find I am never that lucky.
cassiemae :-) |
SWEET! I love the red & white!
I never get that lucky. But hope one day will hit a good one at Salvation Army. Going tomorrow with my sister, wish me luck!
It would make a good quilt lining, maybe.
That is so cute! You'll have fun with that for sure.
I went to GoodWill today too. I was appalled at their prices. Ladies pants for 6.99, tops for 3.99. That doesn't sound like thrift shop prices to me. People on social assistance up here (Ontario) can't even afford these prices. I did end up finding an old wool blanket for 2.99 and 3 pillowcases for .99 each. I took them home, made them into quilt sandwiches *wool for batting* and practised some new patterns. Then gave one to each cat and the dog :) |
what a great find
Bingo!!! Great find. Congratulations. Can't wait to see what you will do with it!
That is about the same prices as here.. but on Friday - their "color of the week" clothing items are $1.00 & anything else in the store with that color sticker is 1/2 off.

Several years ago I found one of these same size "spools" of fabric also. Mine is blue and white dot. I think it comes from a garment or bedding type company. I still have it because I have never decided what to do with it. I know I got it at a thrift store or something like that too.
