I'm not sorry!! LOL However, we hit 3 more shops yesterday, and I only bought 2 x 1 1/2 yard cuts of a beautiful shell fabric for the resort's totes I am making. I go hit the last 3 shops today, but the novelty is wearing off and I think I am just wanting to start using up what I have! Will post yesterday's and today's (if I get anything today) later.

I envy you those patterns! Great haul.

Shop Hops are definitely a lot of fun, but since different stores carry different items, it can be a vacuum cleaner for the wallet. Too many goodies abound, particularly for a big shop hop. The one around here is very small, only 4 shops.

I have bought the plastic screen (like for windows) at the hardware and used that for the center then put fabric above and below the screen and for the handles. The screen comes in colors sometimes at craft stores too. It is easy to cut to size needed. Lets air move through the bag. Makes cute bags.

Nice haul. It is fun buying pretty fabrics and what not until the bill comes in. I'm glad you will make some of the money back.

GURRRlLLLL....years ago when i was married...I loved the feeling of doing this, and on the way home, I'd think of a place to hide it all.

When I was in New Mexico I stopped at one fabric store. The first trip I only spent $20. A few days latter, after the narcotic fumes had worn off and I was still dreaming of those beautiful fabrics that I had too have, I only spent $550 dollars. I thought I did well considering I could have easily doubled that as this stores carries a lot of south west themed fabric. I don't think I'm going to go to any fabric store for quite a while, or until I get the 5 UFOs finished.

Cant wait to see what else you buy. I love your patterns and look forward to seeing your completed projects.

I REALLY want to make a Native American/ Southwest themed quilt-my whole bedroom is full of Native American dolls and dream catchers, etc, which I enjoy waking up to every morning! I had planned on getting some Southwest themed fabrics on this shop hop, but just couldn't bring myself to until I had a pattern in mind. The shop hop came up at the last minute, (well, not the shop hop, but my participation in it did!) so I didn't have time to decide on a pattern. I have completed the shops now, bought a few more yards of fabrics, and the background fabrics for the McKenna Ryan patterns I got. I was in Arizona recently and didn't get any because I thought we were flying back or taking the train, which was our plan (limited for luggage), but we ended up renting a car at the last minute and drove. I did manage to get out before leaving and buy a couple of lovely Native American dolls, but no fabric!

A person can not have too many bags. I love making bags and I love your fabric with the sea turtles. Sounds like you had a great day and lots more fun ones putting together all of your projects.
