He gave me the choice today of going for a manicure and pedicure or going fabric shopping - which do you think I took?

Barbm 01-16-2011 04:19 PM

after spending 2 week ends painting ds's house, I'd go for the mani (nobody tocuhes my feet!).

I had to unpack his dresser (moving day is next Sat.) and ended up with 2 more tubs of fabric (where did that come from?) so I can pass on some fabric.

moonwork42029 01-16-2011 05:22 PM

boy what a choice...looks like you made a good one

dkabasketlady 01-16-2011 05:23 PM

I'd have to pick the manicure/pedicure at the moment!!! You have a VERY special hubby!
It looks like you had a great shopping trip!! Your son's curtains look almost identical to the ones that I made for my daughter.

Funny what you posted. The Christmas week I decided to put on gel nails as my nails break before they grow. So that means going for a refill every 2 weeks. Yesterday I was thinking I needed fabric and felt bad because of the expense. So I thought... I am not going to the manicure again instead I'll buy fabric with no guilt!
We are all so alike!

Quiltforme 01-16-2011 05:28 PM

I like the last one maybe a One block wonder?? but very cool!

What is a "one block wonder"? I didn't look for coordinating fabrics but just loved the print and had to get it....

my nails are horrible right now and usually I am a once every 3 weeks person - this time I'm making the scarifice :)

OneMoreQuilt 01-16-2011 06:13 PM

Nice! Good choices.

Sweetness 01-16-2011 06:15 PM

Love the fabric!!! Great choice for curtains. I've seen the fabric in the 2nd picture on the far right and have always wanted some *jealous* and I ADORE the .99/yd one!!!

I push my mani/pedi/waxings to 1x a mo...lol

Snorky Lvs2Quilt 01-16-2011 06:26 PM

I would've told him there was no choice.....I would do both! LOL So where are the pics of your fabric?

Oh sorry, now I see your fabric. The 99c a yard fabric would make a good OBW or stach n whack. Everything looks like it would be fun to work with.

Bailey's mom 01-16-2011 06:37 PM

love the choice that you made. I had to make a choice like that tonight///get a pizza or go to Joanns and hot the sale.
Love walking out with material that I get to keep forever!

Minister 01-16-2011 07:04 PM

Great choice!!

Lori - I found it by accident....I was digging through a stack for the black and grey circles and it was laying behind (hey maybe someone was hiding it) - I fell in love with that pieces first and then spent an hour looking for the rest of the matching pices.

NUTMEG10 01-17-2011 04:24 AM

Beautiful fabric. The 99 cent one would make a great stack and wack.

CarrieAnne 01-17-2011 04:30 AM

Lucky you!

MerryQuilter 01-17-2011 04:55 AM

No ? enjoy!

Janj 01-17-2011 05:49 AM

LOL Fabric!!! The only way to go... I love keeping nails nice, but I can do on my own....

4girlsmimi 01-17-2011 06:31 AM

The nail shop is right next door to the LQS! Did the nails and then shopped!!!!

Roberta 01-17-2011 07:03 AM

Well that's a no-brainer for us on the Board.

pojeda 01-17-2011 07:58 AM

You could use the free pattern from Moda-unitednotions.com called Swanky for the material that you don't know yet what you are going to do with. That fabric is perfect for that pattern!

Looks like Moda doesn't have the pattern there anymore, but, I did a google search and found the pattern here:

http://quiltchat.wordpress.com/category/moda-madness/

Just go to the bottom of the page and hit the pdf for the pattern.

Have fun playing with your fabric!

Nolee 01-17-2011 07:59 AM

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, lemme think a minute. :? I wonder if you went to the fabric shop instead of a manicure!! NOT!!

Dae Kuczma 01-17-2011 10:34 AM

Ummmmmmmm..........fabric, of course!!! Have fun shopping.

Momofthree 01-17-2011 11:14 AM

He is a keeper!! I am making a quilt for my DH b-day and had him pick out the fabric. Mistake!!! He found out how much it cost and said if he had known he would have said just buy me a blanket!! So now if I come home with more fabric he will have an idea of how much I spent. He wouldn't give me the choice of buying fabric, but a peddy or manny, he would offer.

Don't like strangers touching my feet, so it would be the obvious for me. What did you buy :?:
