So (sew) happy for you!

I'm still working on winning the lottery but I know the machine I'm gonna get when I do.

I felt a bit deprived when I bought my bare bones APQS Lucey as I did not get a computer stitching program.....but just the basics were enough to learn and I had a mid-arm prior to this machine. Well, I can truthfully say, that was a learning curve even with just learning to run the machine and load the quilt. Now, I am totally happy with what I have....I can just load the quilt....thread the machine and start stitching....I do most everything free hand, very little ruler work....tee hee....now my big challenge is that I just switch from an android phone to a higher end iPhone....and I am lost! Just had it two days....there is always a learning curve with new technology whether it be a longarm or a phone....have fun!

Congrats!! Yes, is it work but I find it very satisfying to make the quilt myself from cutting it out to the binding. You will too,

Thanks for the good thoughts everyone. This has been such a journey for me. I'm very excited to have a long arm. I have always quilted my own quilts on my domestic machine which took me about 6 weeks to complete the quilting. I did an edge to edge quilting in one day with my longarm!! I have several other quilt tops to do but want to learn more of the computer aspect of this. So I have another practice small quilt loaded up and ready for action. I can't wait to do some free motion quilting but promised myself I'd learn what I could with the robotics first. I'm not fast by any means.

I still care for my mom, (93) and that takes most of my time so my moments with my new wonderful machine are limited. But I'll take what I can get at this point. My next goal is to learn how to turn this into some fun!!
