At sewing today, my Bernina Bernadette 65, got stuck sewing in reverse only. It was the reverse stitch, but finally after fiddling with it, got it to work right. Any idea why it would do that?

Ask Lostin51...Billy. He can probably tell you.

I have the 153. Do you have a button that looks like a u turn sign? It makes the machine go in reverse only.

Having the same problem with 1974 model Kenmore.

Either the linkage is hung up or there is lint of trash keeping it from engaging in the forward motion.

But I have found a 3lb ball peen hammer works wonders on making one act right.

Where do you hit?

Will a 2 lb. hammer work as well????

Haven't we all felt that this one time or another?

Uh.....a hammer?
Would think u would destroy it, but of course i have in mind threaten to hit it with something heavy when something didn't work right or thread kept breaking, etc.

I think Billy was joking.
