I do the same but I also read. I alternate the three:sew, computor or read

Love your little poem, Amma.
I should be writing my Christmas poem instead of reading these posts. Maybe you could do it for me!

My Resolution is to make strip quilts out of my scraps, and NOT buy any new fabric this year. Do you know how hard that is going to be?

Ah well, who ever actually stuck to a new year's resolution anyway? Maybe if there were only one month in a year--but twelve????LOL

Vanuatu Jill 12-19-2010 08:39 PM

I found another resolution I want to make-this might be an easier one-I resolve to learn foundation piecing-something that I have been afraid to try!

That is a really nice gesture, but you will be very busy if you also like to gifts on birthdays, holidays etc.

I love the poem. I don't usually do gifts at Christmas or BD for friends but I LOVE to do "Best Friend Day" Now I have a poem to go with my "day" to my friends

Lots2do,I love your idea, mine for this year is to finish an UFO each month before I can buy any more fabric each month.I know this will be hard, but something has to be done about all of those projects I fell in love with and started then started something else..........and something else.
Wish me luck!!!!
Amma,I love your poem also.

THAT would require a lot of discipline! But I think it is a very wise idea, especially for any who may be tighter on funds. One year my quilting bee made strip quilts as a charity project; each member was to make 2 12" blocks and bring to each meeting. We could not get over how beautiful they looked when finished, even though done by different women using different color schemes. Keep us posted on this resolution:-)

I like this twist, too. That would certainly be helpful as far as cleaning things out.
