Yep, that's the one! I have one that I bought at the Phoenix Craft, Sewing and Quilt festival in January. It does work just that slick! But save yourself some money and pick one up at Wal-Mart, Sears, K-Mart or any other place that sells beard/mustache trimmers. That is all this thing is. You can also go on the Wahl internet site. I am sure there are other manufactures that make these things. It also is suppose to be good for getting out embroidery threads.... and it does...

In the video it looked like it had a guard so that it didn't cut the fabric and I'm afraid I'd cut the fabric with beard or moustache trimmer.

Too much trouble to have to pick all the stitches afterwards. If you just clip the bobbin thread every inch or two, put the tip of a small scissor or even the seam ripper without using the sharp edge, in the middle stitch and pull up, all you have to do when done with that side is to flip and pull the top thread off. Hopefully all in one piece, if it was done right. Then you don't have all the little fuzzies to pick out.

I just lay a piece of masking/painters tape on the seam and all the little threads go away. Easy to do

Looks like something that would end up on the gadget drawer. I am tired of buying things that need batteries. My surgical seam ripper works fine for me and doesn't need batteries.

i use a flat-edge razor blade and it works great but you do kind of need a 3rd hand and i realize its risky but i've not cut myself or the fabric yet and been doing it for years esp for long seams.
