Just beautiful, Andrea. Your quilts are all magnificent.
What kind of batting did you use? And how many incredibly even stitches per inch do you get? |
Thank you all for your nice comments!
Janet: I used a Hobbs 80/20 for that quilt, one of my favourites. I also like the Legacy 80/20, Quilter's Dream Cotton and Tuscany or Legacy cotton. The number of stitches varies a little, of course - depending on the fabric and the batting. On that quilt I could make ca. 15 per inch (counted on the top). |
so beautiful, you sure did derserve the 1st place! one could only hope to be able to quilt as you do, you do just amazing work!!

Congratulations, beautiful work.

Bet you are relieved to have it back - and btw, it is sooooooo much more stunning in person. (Saw it in Santa Clara - it took my breath away.)

OMG!! Andrea, that is just drop dead, stunning, gorgeous and amazing. Yes you truly deserved the "Best of" ribbon for this one. I remember when you announced you won but were not allowed to post pictures of it. This was soooo worth the wait to see pics. Just beautiful. A true work of art.

Congrats. I'm glad your baby is home. That is a beautiful quilt. I can see why it won blue.
