Yes, I do like my machine even with the top.Makes it much nicer to sew IMHO

Nanaquilts44 08-23-2011 07:58 AM

I just love this table. What a handy hubby you have!

mjsylvstr 08-23-2011 07:59 AM

Wow, what a great table...

hubby made me on that opens to 7'x 4', but I really like how your machine sits down into the table..

he made me a portable table that fits the machine but is only 18"x24" and not too handy for those big jobs.

I will call him up here and tell him to note what your hubby did and try to convince him to make another !!!

Your new table is wonderful; so very well thought out. And crafted so beautifully - he's not only a DH but a master builder.

Joselake 08-23-2011 08:14 AM

Love the table, wish mine sat down in my table....lucky you.

I think you should consider taking a vacation touring the US. That way we could send our orders for tables to you, then you come down, deliver and meet all of us. Some of us aren't lucky enough to have a talented person (or ourselves) to make a table.

joyceinoh 08-23-2011 08:22 AM

Looks like a good sturdy table, which is important.
I used a round dinning table, with a center legs. It was sturdy until I sat my serger on it. When I serger, the machine vibrated the table and the table the machine.
In the end I had my loopers out of line so bad, I had to
take it in for repair.

Love your set up,
Joyce

Hey, that looks great, I love it, I was just looking at a harbor Freight add and they had a work bench with drawers for 129.00 I thought might look efficient in the sewing room. has anyone else checked this out. It didn't give height in the paper.

countrycottage 08-23-2011 09:31 AM

What a great table, and what a sweet hubby you have.

Homemother 08-23-2011 09:33 AM

Wow- that's a great table. I bet you'll get hours of enjoyment from it. What's hubby's favorite meal? He deserves a reward.

Great additional pictures. Well planned. So nice to be able to fold down the extension when you don't want it and to have the scissored legs for stability when opened up. I'm in envy! and hopin' and a prayin' that I can entice your DH into business, like many of the others. (and being in Ontari-ari-ari-o, maybe I have an advantage??

khurtdvm 08-23-2011 09:54 AM

BarbaraSue 08-23-2011 11:22 AM

Great table! Nice that Hubby can do with wood what you can do with fabric! :)

JusticeClan 08-23-2011 11:25 AM

Very, very nice. I'm sure you will really enjoy it for a long time.

Great Table, Better husband. Mine made me a table that could fold down to take to classes but I keep it set up in my sewing room at all times when I am at home. Now we take it with us when we stay in RV parks so he can fish and I can sew as a lot of them have some kind of clubhouse room.
Everybody is different but I get cramps in my ankles when I sew to long if the foot peddle is on the floor. He attached velcro to the bottom of the peddle and to the leg of the table so I can use the control with my leg. If you think this would be good for you the legs on your beautiful table look to be the right size for this.

Good idea ... the sewing machine I learned on was an old black singer in a cabinet, with a knee pedal. When I got a modern machine when I was married ... I thought I'd never learn to use a floor pedal! :)

Becca 08-23-2011 11:39 AM

Super nice! I'm jealous when someone posts a pic of something a handy husband made...mine would be the first to say he is not handy...but he's sweet, usually!
