You RESCUED this beautiful work from a fate it didn't deserve! Someone with a sense of color, a perfectionist when it comes to piecing, and an eye for what would work together, spent many hours creating this top. Now it has found a home - finally - with someone who can appreciate and acknowledge it's unknown history, complete the quilting process, and make it a lasting memory in their home. May it bring you real joy....
Don't laugh now -- it's similar to taking in a stray dog, who becomes part of your world and your family. |

I think that the fabric is even earlier than the 40's, possibly they are from the 30's.

Great find! I haven't had much luck at yard sales around here- or the thrift stores either - maybe it's a sign (as my husband would say :)

How lovely! I had a hand stitched quilt top that I picked up at a flea market from 40's-50's fabrics. I spent considerably more for mine...

Great Score. Fabulous price! It deserves to be finished.

Wow! That is beautiful.

Great find! I'd date that top to around 1930, based on the fabrics in it.
