Nice fabrics from lines that were discontinued years ago. Which means... don't get your hopes up! Their shopping cart clearly doesn't have "inventory checking". As in... you can put 1000 yards of a fabric into your cart and it doesn't complain.

The point being - not that you really want or can afford 1000 yards (even at these great prices!) - but that if you want 3 yards, they may or may not have it. Their "customer service" section doesn't say what they will do in this case (though hopefully they'll contact you!)

Those who do order, please share with us what your experience turns out to be!

PamS 10-14-2010 06:42 AM

Someone else posted that link a few days ago and I just had to place an order! And it was not a small one (shipping was $30!!!) But still a great price/yd. It should be here in a couple of days - I'll give you an update when I receive it.

ka9sdn 10-14-2010 07:06 AM

It does say they will ship what they have. so if you want 6 yards for backing and they have 1 1/2 that is what you get. Not convenient for me.

Just placed an order,can't wait!

i've never been a slave to "the latest" or "the newest", so never care even a whit whether or not fabrics are. i'm perfectly happy with the discontinued stuff. as to the shipping, nothing in life is perfect. at those prices, i'll risk a bit of inconvenience. it's a much more fun way to "gamble" than a trip to vegas.

dunster 10-14-2010 08:26 AM

Thanks Patrice. I think you just saboutaged my plan for using only my stash.

hobo2000 10-14-2010 09:00 AM

Using their fabric easel allowed me to line up fabrics for my strata stars. 1 yard cost me less than 1/4 yd at my LQS.
Whats not to like plus most of it was Jinny Beyer and it never goes out of style. Thank you ladies, you made my week.

kellen46 10-14-2010 09:03 AM

Ok..... darn you I went, I saw, I drooled, I ordered and now I have to find room.....oh dear I do have high class problems.

Nancy in Louisiana 10-14-2010 09:32 AM

I just went to look -- and it cost me $60!!!!! Oh, by the way, shipping doesn't count in my calculations. Pay the fabric store's markup or pay the price in gas to go 60 miles to a decent fabric store. That's how I rationalize, and I'm sticking to it.

klgreene 10-14-2010 09:43 AM

Wow, I just gave it a quick check, and now I'll be spending all afternoon checking out MORE fabric. Thanks Partice, I think!

luvTooQuilt 10-14-2010 09:53 AM

Thank you..

heberstitcher 10-14-2010 10:00 AM

OMG!!!!! What a great site. I just ordered $60 worth of fabric.

Thank you so much!! (I think!! - I could be in big trouble with this site!!!!!) But GREAT PRICES!!

Ginga 10-14-2010 12:07 PM

Great prices and a few really cute free patterns that look easy enough for me. Thank you!

ChubbyBunny 10-14-2010 01:17 PM

Thanks for sharing! I just ordered 6 yards of fabric for $28!!!

poultney 10-14-2010 01:25 PM

Great selection. Now I just need some money.

luvTooQuilt 10-14-2010 02:16 PM

whoo hoo. great buys there!!!

njgrl4evr 10-14-2010 03:30 PM

I placed a LARGE order for fabric 20 minutes after I recieved the email earlier this week.
I got a reciept for the order but when I emailed them to ask when it was going to ship they told me they were out of EVERY fabric I ordered.
I was a little skeptical that they were out of EVERYTHING I ordered since they still had all the fabrics up on their website today, 5 days AFTER I placed my order.
They never notified me until I emailed them.
Not very good Customer Service.
I'll be curious to see if anyone is able to get ANY of their fabric.

Carol B 10-14-2010 04:00 PM

Thanks so much for your web site tip. I live in Adelaide, South Australia and have just been onto the site and bought quite a bit of material. I am building quite a stash and love looking at the different materials online. Its a fabulous site and the prices are great. I pay around $22-$26 a metre for material here and so with the Aussie dollar so good at the moment I am addicted to online fabric shopping. YAY!!!!!

Farm Quilter 10-14-2010 06:28 PM

Oh, you are soooooo naughty! I just spent $200 there...all your fault!!!

Well, I'll post if I get what I ordered!

Gina_D 10-14-2010 09:01 PM

They even ship to Alaska without extra charges! We'll see what I get. Thanks for the tip!

Sheree from Chicago 10-14-2010 11:03 PM

i've had similar experiences at other websites. at least one very large distributor hasn't changed their pages in literally years. the only difference is that you do get an "out of stock" when you click to add the fabs to your cart.

another site i use has periodic "killer" sales. i know i can expect about half of what i ordered.

it's annoying so i understand your frustration. on the other hand, whatever they don't have is less money out of my pocket. that's usually a good thing since most of my fabric purchases are splurges.

Thanks for this information, great site and much better prices. Thanks again!

redpurselady 10-15-2010 08:44 AM

I just ordered 25 yards of Batiks

Thanks for the link!!

Californiagal 10-15-2010 04:37 PM

Thanks so much for the fabric tip. I'll check it out and probably buy some fabric. All we have is Wal Mart, who now carry nothing much, and Jo Ann's who's prices are high.

candi 10-15-2010 06:04 PM

Thanks for the tip. I just placed a 20-yard order for less than $80, shipping and Florida taxes included  Even hubby agreed that I shouldn't pass the deal. Now I just hope I get most of what I ordered.

BTW, I originally had like 22 yards in my cart, and shipping was $21, I deleted two yards(one at a time) and that dropped the shipping to $11. I wonder how many yards one can fit in the $21 box. I should have tried that

Yay, building a stash is fun!!!

wvdek 10-15-2010 06:12 PM

Thanks Patrice.

OHSue 10-15-2010 06:18 PM

I cruised the site for a while... bad thing you did giving us this link....good thing it is payday!

annette1952 10-15-2010 07:25 PM

Thanks Patrice! They have some awesome fabrics. Just placed an order too. Can't wait! I buy fabrics at sales like this just for my stash with nothing in mind to make. So if they are out of it then it doesn't matter much. Have fun everyone!

bbeyes 10-15-2010 08:44 PM
