I actually visited this store while on vacation, ended up back there 3 times. I was very happy that we had driven to Florida so I had lots of extra room to pack bags of fabric! They do have amazing fabric.

penski 10-16-2010 08:42 PM

thank you !!!

They used to have a storefront in Destin. Now it seems like they just have the online shop and no store front. This is according to their website.

Sandynorm 10-17-2010 07:40 AM

They were talking of the possibility of just doing the web site when I was there in mar 09, but never heard if they actually closed. I have never seen a store so organized, each bolt had numbers as to what shelf it went on!

patricej 10-17-2010 08:39 AM

maybe they don't officially operate a store front but will let customers in who find them and ask to shop in person.

i wonder if there's a secret password.

Love your little kitty! So CUTE!

Burning question....
has anyone received their order at this point? I ordered on the 16th. I am watching my bank account for the deduction to see how much of the order I will get. And to know it will soon be on the way.

i've had orders from other places take weeks to ship.

don't they realize i wanted everything a week before i ordered it?

seriously, though, i'm pretty sure a few folks have reported getting their orders. some quickly, some not.

and noooooooooooooo i don't work for them.

cross my heart.

june6995 10-23-2010 01:37 PM

Thanks for your input, Patrice.
I suspect they are running at top speed trying to locate, cut, package and ship all those orders. I am not sure I would be wanting to work there for this kind of sale.

Patrice - thank you so much for sharing the link. At these prices I can afford to buy fabric, even with the international shipping fees.

I bet the staff are run off there feet with all the orders coming in. I'm sure this site alone has boosted their sales.

Another super big thank you :)

Placed my order 10/11.
Rec'd shipping notice 10/19.
Bank account was charged 10/20.
Rec'd order Friday 10/22.

I was billed for and rec'd about half of what I ordered. I guess they were out of the rest of it, no acknoweldgement from them on that issue.

Quality is GREAT, packed VERY nicely, would order from them again. I ordered mostly 1 yd pieces (a couple 2yd and a few 1/2 yd): one box had 16 pieces, other box had 22 pieces, very neatly folded and all placed in a plastic bag inside shipping box.

I did notice a few days after placing my order that they noted on their website: "Due to the large volume of orders, it’s taking us a bit longer to fill them. Please be patient, we will get to yours!" So, I was not expecting to get my order as quick as I did! They'll most likely get some of my business in the future.

I just want to add my thanks to Patrice for finding this great site.

It goes without saying that I did some shopping----WOW, I haven't seen prices like that in a long time.

And, if it takes awhile to get my order I'll try to be patient.

Thanks Pam for the report on your order!

Placed my order on l0/14 -- yesterday received notice that not one single thing I ordered was available and the entire order was cancelled. I had ordered 10 different items. Hope they remembered NOT to charge my VISA.

june6995 10-25-2010 05:11 PM

today I canceled my order of Oct. 16th.

I went to my local Hancock store and found some Batiks on their mark down table. Discontinued bolts were marked from $7.95 to $2.95. I found 7 bolts and bought a yard of each. At the register I was given a 2nd discount and all the fabric was $1.95 per yard. (Batiks are what I had ordered) I came home and sent an email and received a prompt reply to "consider your order canceled!" and saved about $40 if they even had what I wanted. had they cut and shipped, I would have kept it, but under the circumstances I felt I was not likely to get much of it and I wanted to start on some quilt blocks.

All's well that ends well.
and maybe you need to check out your local Hancock fabric store.

K, I said I'd keep even the good news to myself, but I lied.

Got my order. In its entirety. Packed nicely, fabric looks great. I was originally quoted a higher shipping amount, but when it was ACTUALLY shipped, it would fit in a FRB, and I was charged accordingly.

Had the occasion to email Chris last week or whatever, and he was SUPER fast to reply. Extremely polite and accurate. For the circumstances, with a gazillion people circling around to get a rockin' deal on fabric, they've done well. I now have them on speed-dial(-up) for when I have an itch to get some goodies.

I'm sorry that patience didn't pay off for a few unhappy quilters. It did for me. :D

redpurselady 11-02-2010 06:50 AM

I ordered on 10/15 and received a notice yesterday 11/1 that my order had been shipped. Apparently all was shipped except for the 9 yards of batik I needed. I had called and told her that if the whole amount of that particular fabric was not available, not to send a partial. My order was all for yard cuts of batiks. I hope they are a nice quality.

tess10 11-02-2010 07:05 AM

Got my 3 boxes of fabric!!!! Great fabric great prices. Thanks for the heads up.

cbridges22 11-02-2010 07:09 AM

Took a couple weeks but I got mine and it is nice fabric.

Joan 11-02-2010 07:34 AM

I ordered October 21 and have yet to see or hear anything. But, it sounds like they are very backed up on orders and I need to be patient............very hard to do when waiting for fabric delivery

heberstitcher 11-02-2010 08:19 AM

I received my order (not all that I ordered) but what I received was good quality fabrics. I will order from them again.

PamS 11-02-2010 05:56 PM

UPDATE:
I actually received MORE than half of what I ordered (nearly all I ordered, in fact). I just did not see the invoice in the second box I opened (first box invoice listed about half of what I ordered). I was so anxious to see my goodies that I overlooked the 2nd invoice, I just grabbed the fabric and drooled (that's OK, right??? because it gets washed)

I just received my order. I got 16 one yard cuts of 16 different batiks. Very nice and I'm pleased - packaging was impressive. They did a nice job.

Now I have a questions about batiks - can you wash them all together regardless of the different colors?
