I think it was known as "swiss dot", but others may have more information.
|
I also remember it as dotted swiss.

Yes, way back in the 50's (or 40's) I had a dress made of dotted Swiss and it looked like this.
|
Sorry, haven't seen dotted swiss in ages. Hope someone here knows where to get some. I always thought it was cute. I used to make my girls outfits and they loved the dotted swiss fabs.
|
My favorite Easter outfit was made from pastel green dotted swiss. My grandmother made me a small pill box hat from the dress fabric. I felt so stylish! I have tried to find dotted swiss fabric but no luck. I sure wish I saved all my dresses made from it.

Lots for sale on etsy.com. https://www.etsy.com/search/supplies...ric&ref=market
It is generally found in the apparel fabric departments. Hancock Fabrics sell it in prints as well as solids. |
I remember making my two girls dotted Swiss dresses. I made myself a culotte and the top had dotted swiss. I believe that was in the 70s or early 80s. It was meant for clothing and not 100% cotton.
