I'm back to believing this is BQ3. It looks as though the quilt maker simply didn't want to go to the trouble of doing the slanted pieces and just cut them straight. Otherwise, the patterns are identical as far as I can tell.

Pinterest posted these measurements https://www.pinterest.com/pin/63613413476175883/ But what if it's this? BQ2 https://www.pinterest.com/pin/21321798228504152/ scroll down a bit here here are some measurements/directions for BQ2 https://www.pinterest.com/search/pin...BQ2&etslf=7107  :) |
The picture reminds me of the quilt Enchanting from the Fabric Cafe book The Magic of 3 yard quilts.

I think the key to recognizing the BQ3 is those smaller opposing squares (in the Panda quilt, they're done in the border green).

I'm not sure it makes any difference, but the BQ2 pattern doesn't have that extra square. The only thing that makes me question the "3 yard quilt" is that they generally only have three fabrics. The panda quilt has four fabrics. It's not hard to figure out. Here's the block. The photo is fuzzy, but it is the best I can do with the photo supplied.
bkay Edit: since your fabric is directional, you would have to make 10 blocks with the panda square in the bottom facing right side up, then 10 with the panda in the opposite corner, but with the panda facing upside down. (Hope that makes sense.) |
