I love Mary Jo's too. It is about a 2 hour drive for me. I go at least 4 or 5 times a year.

Thank god MaryJo's is too far away from me to drop in!!!! 5 hours....I have a friend an hour from there... I COULD do a weekend...

If I were you, I would so be visiting that friend quite often   There is no where like it, and I can spend hours in there, to say nothing of what i carry out. So, come on, and have a full day blast at Mary Jo's!!!

I hit that shop on a cruise. I still have some of the fabric to make up. Great shop.

I shop at "Beyond the Needle, Sew Many Quilts, Grandmothers Thimble, Quilted Crow, The Churn Dash, Patchwork Angels are all with in a 30 mile radius of me. Nice choice for me. Then South of me is Endless Mts. Quiltworks.

Ginger's Quilt Shop in Upland, California. They have a wonderful selection, helpful and cheerful people there, and really good lighting to see the fabric. They also warmly welcomed my very young looking 24 year old daughter and gave her the name of some other local shops that carried the specific line of fabrics she was looking for. Everything a LQS should be and more.

I just have to add Rainbow's End in Dunedin, FL....just north of Clearwater. It truly is the pot of gold.

Katier825, I was over in Rockledge last March but didn't have time to look up any quilt shops.

Hi Beachlady:

don't forget Kathy's quilt shop in Sanford Me and Knights in Cape Neddic............................both are wonderful.

Mardins is a bit overwhelming for me though.

Cotten Weeds in Freeport is awesome.

The Quilting Coop in Asheboro, NC is where I spend a lot of time. It's a wonderful little store that opened a few months ago. They will celebrate their 1 year anniversary on March, 7. Great owner and customers!

The Log Cabin Quilt Shop in Leonard, Oklahoma (located in Tulsa County). Beautiful location, very quality fabrics, notions, and the best prices around! They offer classes and are very knowledgable and helpful. A lovely place to spend hours browsing. Even has a front porch with seating for anyone that doesn't want to shop - like a hubby!
