As I create new baby quilts the design of the quilt comes easy, the quilt top is easily sewn on my machine, and I comfortably hand sew my newest project, but coming up with a name for the quilt is the hardest part.

Any suggestions for my lastest design?

You had me laughing and coughing! Does it really matter one wonders? Did your Mom go down the whole list before she found the right name for the kid she was talking to? Mine did and so did/do I with only two. My almost middle-aged sons still tease me about it!

What about "Turning Corners". Seems that that's what it's doing and so are families when they welcome a new arrival--they're turning corners. It's a lovely quilt.

Sometimes my imagination just deserts me, so baby quilts I usually just use the babys name, ex: Shane's Butterfly quilt. That way I also remember who I gave the quilt to.

I don't think a quilt needs a name, other than, say," Jane's baby quilt", or" Scott's graduation quilt." Unless it's an art piece, and then maybe a name is appropriate.

Butterfly Twist?

If there are butterflies in the fabric (can't see), I'd call it Butterflies and Pinwheels.

My first thought was Flutter by but I don't know if the butterfly is part of the quilt or just decoration. How about "Floral Breeze" or "Purple Breeze" or "Flowers in the Wind"
