I like it without the extra border but either way that is beautiful. The colors are so bright!

I like it with the teal border but you can put it inside or out of the multi one...Very nice quilt

I agree with dunster. Try it I think you will like it looking forward to seeing the grand finish.

.....and my Mom's name is Verna...not a name you hear very often.[/QUOTE]

your right I don't hear that name very often. I was named after a friend of my mothers 60 years ago!

I love the pieced border - but am not crazy about the blue border...your other colors are either brighter or bolder - something....this color just does not seem to fit with the quilt........I much prefer the pieced border with just the white border.......Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL and I am sure will be even more so, whichever way you decides to go!!

Love it without the teal. Beautiful job.

I like the border with the color in between the quilt and border, it gives a nice place for the eye to stop and then the unique striped border adds lots of pizzaz to the quilt, which is absolutely gorgeous.

quilterpurpledog 04-18-2014 08:59 AM

I really like your pieced border and I would prefer it without the teal border. That teal border seems to stop the eye and then the beautiful border seems to be an add-on rather than just a continuation of the beautiful Dresden colors. Your color combination is very pleasing and 'happy feeling'.

I think the multi-colored border is a brilliant choice, looks great. It may be my eyes but the teal colored border doesn't seem to match the other colors.

I love the quilt, with just the multi-border. It is a direct repeat of the colors. Pretty!

triplerosa 04-18-2014 10:06 AM

i like the multi border

justflyingin 04-18-2014 10:12 AM

Or what about teal or blue both inside and outside the multi colored border?

carolynjo 04-18-2014 10:49 AM

Whatever you decide; it's beautiful any way.

caspharm 04-18-2014 11:24 AM

I actually like it with the double border. The teal adds a softening touch and keeps the border from competing with the center. It also defines the center better.

morforles 04-18-2014 12:04 PM

Absolutely love your border,it's gorgeous! I would use it without the inner teal border.

Now we're getting into something different. In the picture with the teal, that teal looks very large and overpowering. I like the idea of teal inside and outside the mulitcolored border. But just a smidgeon. Less than an inch; even a quarter-inch. Then add white to the outside to make it as big as you wish.

I agree with quiltinggranny.
