Well if it isn't an expensive batik then you did a GREAT job of finding the perfect fabric, not expensive but has the looks of expensive. Love that fabric! Do you remember where you got it?

Sue, I bought mine from my tiny local fabric store in Corinth, MS....But....taaadaaa...it is Nathional Parks Series- Arches # 2610 by Ro Gregg. www.northcott.net I think you'll be able to find it on line or at least I hope so. I bought it in March, so hopefully its not discontinued.

I also bought a darker more bronze looking color for the back of the quilt. I love it!

Good luck!
Patti

I vote for the long vertical rows definitely. Love it!

Go to the Quilt in a Day website. Click on videos and then flying geese. She shows you her method. It is the only method I use.
I love your quilt, it is beautiful.

Thank you so much for the compliments. I haven't been able to work on it much this week....too pretty outside. Pretty soon it will be too hot to stay outside much and I'll be back on it. I'm a pretty slow quilter, so it will be awhile before anyone sees a finished picture :D

Rose Marie, thanx for the heads up on the website/videos. I had never seen Eleanor Burns' method of doing flying geese. Enjoyed her other videos also. I'd love her special rulers but I'd go broke,

Joanns carry her rulers and with a coupon, its not to bad. Worth every penny for the geese ruler. You can cut them without the ruler but it is easier with it. I bought both.

Rose Marie, I watched the videos and the flying geese look easy easy doing it her way. Thanks for the link. I'm downloading since it seems that I am pretty dense and have to re-learn everything if I skip a few weeks on my projects. I'll have to look for the rulers, they look like real time savers.

The thing I do like about the PP FG is that there are already 8 attached together when I finish each block. I'm not sure how I would figure out what size to cut my big and smaller square to end up with 1 x 2 FG doing it Eleanor's way.

I finish High School in Corinth, MS and am going there in August for a wedding. What is the name of the fabric store? I haven't been back to Corinth in almost 20 years.

The colors you have picked are very pretty together. What ever you decide in doing, the quilt is going to be beautiful.
